The journey to coffee catering nirvana started in the back of a beat-down Hyundai Accent.
Creature Coffee's founder Michael had big coffee dreams, but very little money in his pocket. So when a friend asked him if he could bring specialty coffee to a local event in Austin, he did what any other super-passionate but super-broke bean slinger would do: he borrowed a bunch of equipment, packed it into the back of his Hyundai, and served up catered coffee to his first crowd.
It was, in Michael's words, "absolutely beautiful chaos."
And so the pursuit for perfection began. Creature Coffee blossomed into a specialty coffee roaster and respected coffee catering company with hundreds of 5-star ratings under its belt. One that continues to bring delight to 1,000s of crowds throughout Austin, Seattle, and other cities across the US every day.
Since the beginning, Michael and the rest of the Creature Coffee mobile barista team have been fueled by their love of what they like to call "The Aha Moment."
Aka: that moment when someone who has only ever had ho-hum coffee tastes true, toe-tingling, mind-exploding, tastier-than-tasty specialty coffee for the first time.
It is Creature Coffee's mission to fuel Aha Moments wherever they roam: with each bag of specialty coffee beans they share, and each event they roll their coffee cart bar right on into.
