Sarchi Crush 💘 is a love story written in coffee. A juicy, sun-drenched delight from Costa Rica’s Los Duran Micromill, nestled in the rolling hills of the West Valley. This is where the Duran family has turned generations of farming wisdom into a modern microlot masterpiece. What began as Eduardo Duran’s passion project has blossomed into a full-blown family affair, with sons Barney, Kendall, and Arnold now leading the charge. Together, they’ve created something truly special, a micromill dedicated to precision, experimentation, and flavor that dances across the palate like a crush you can’t quite shake. 💫

The Duran family’s meticulous touch is evident in every step. Their black honey process - a method that leaves the coffee’s sticky-sweet mucilage intact - allows the sugars and fruit flavors to slowly infuse the beans as they dry. After depulping, the coffee rests for several days in sealed GrainPro bags to gently ferment before being spread out on raised beds to bask in the soft Costa Rican sun. The result is a cup layered with character, born from patience, intention, and the Duran family’s deep respect for their land. 🌞🍯

Sourced from the El Roble parcel, perched between 1,300 and 1,650 meters, this lot features the Catiguá MG2 variety, a hybrid celebrated for its resilience and balance. The terroir here, kissed by mountain breezes and shaded by native trees, gives the coffee its signature plush sweetness and refined acidity. The Durans’ innovative processing brings it all together, coaxing out flavors of grape juice, buckwheat honey, and a finish so layered it feels like a slow melody unfolding sip by sip. 🍇🎶

    We never ship old coffee — your order is packed within days of roasting so you taste peak flavor in every bag of beans.

  • We ship Tuesday, through to Friday every week.

    Some bank holidays may affect shipping by 24 hours.

  • Yes! We ship all orders fresh from our roastery, and expedited shipping is available at checkout if you need your beans in a hurry. Standard shipping usually gets coffee to most U.S. addresses in 2–5 business days, but if you can’t wait that long, select a faster option and we’ll make sure your coffee is roasted, packed, and on its way without delay.

  • Not every coffee we roast carries the official organic seal, but every bean we source meets our strict quality standards. Each lot is carefully tested and selected to ensure it’s clean, fresh, and mold-free. Many of our coffees are grown using organic or sustainable practices, and some hold certifications such as USDA Organic and Rainforest Alliance. Since many of our producers are small, they may not carry certification in their country of origin or in the U.S. — but their farming methods are just as careful and responsible. For us, it’s about more than a label: it’s about roasting coffees that are traceable, ethically farmed, and taste incredible in your cup.

  • Yes. While most of our coffees are roasted to light-medium, we offer a darker roasted coffee too. IN general, we tend to roast coffees to their full potential, unlocking flavor notes. This means sometimes going light, and sometimes going a little darker. We will, however, never burn our coffee. It's far too good for that!

    Each bag of beans will have a roast profile on the front of the bag, and on the website when you purchase.

  • Specialty coffee is the top tier of coffee in the world — beans that score 80+ points on the Specialty Coffee Association’s quality scale. It means the coffee is grown with care, harvested at peak ripeness, and free from defects like mold or bitterness.
