Blast off with the aroma and taste of fresh baked strawberry cream puffs topped with pink candy fluff and a side of popsicle goodness.

Born in Uganda, this natural coffee grows all the way up at 2,100 meters above sea level making it juicy, sweet, and a gosh darn delight to drink.

This coffee is a member of our playful collection, perfect for the coffee connoisseur that wants their coffee to taste a little different. Think fruity, floral, even tropical if you will. The characteristic dark chocolate and roast of coffee is just a canvas. Flavors of ripe, bright fruit, subtle mountain teas, or sweet, luxurious desserts are what find their way into the forefront, showcasing just how incredible coffee can be.

We were only able to get our hands on a very small lot of this delightful coffee. There are only 150, 12oz bags available (and that was the count before we started drinking it ourselves). When it's gone, we'll have to wait until next year to enjoy it again.

This coffee is farmed way up in the clouds. Hand picked by the Bukonzo Farmers Group of the Bakonzo tribe within the Rwenzori Mountain Range (famously known as the Mountains of the Moon) that stretches 120km along the edge of Western Uganda, boarding the Democratic Republic of Congo, it is some of the highest farmed coffee in the world.

But who cares? What is the whole thing with MASL (meters above sea level) anyhow? Well, when it comes to growing coffee beans, or really any plant, the higher up you are, and the colder the weather and thinner the air, the more the fruit needs to fight to survive. Coffee plants at these altitudes produce an extra dense fruit around their seed in order to stay warm and insulated. This results in a particularly flavorful coffee bean as a result.

On top of the high altitude, this region has plentiful rainfall and the coffee plants are shaded by banana trees. Sounds almost like a song. Under the shade of banana trees! La la la di da!

Working as a united crew of share farmers, the Bukonzo Farmers have worked hard to improve the processing and increase the quality control of their farms recently. It is important to their well being for both income and local consumption. In addition to these incredible beans, they also produce casava, maize, beans and groundnuts for local use.
This is a naturally processed coffee so expect wild fruit flavors in your cup. This will open your mind up as to what to expect from Uganda's finest coffee farmers in the future. We're excited to share this rare and limited batch coffee with you. Even during Uganda's times of political trouble, we hope we can snag their next harvest and support these forward-thinking specialty grade farmers. Enjoy!

Roasted In Small Batches

We get pretty geeky when it comes down to the science of roasting some of the worlds finest coffees. You'll see us happiest when we're knee deep in it, meticulously fine-tuning each coffees profile, roasting and cupping over and over until we find the sweet spot. Your beans are roasted for your order so they arrive in your face, fresh and tasty AF.
